Last month's Eastside Cocktail Crawl was way too much fun!
We started the day at Lustre Pearl East with their El Camino and made our way down Cesar Chavez to Craftsman for Moscow Mules.
Once we headed a few doors down to Weather Up, the crew had a medley of colorful sips to choose from.
We were sooo surprised and impressed to see cocktail sippin' folks rockin' creative team gear!
So impressed that we're currently brainstorming contest ideas for the next go-around this fall!
Afterwards, we made our way up to East 6th and hit Collide ATX - a chef-driven restaurant and art space for more booze and grub.
We ended the afternoon at the patio of all patios - Whisler's, where we reminisced about the afternoon and sipped on some mighty delicious Southsides.
...and as promised, the DIY vibes flowed throughout the park!
Our crew of lovely local vendors, including Anne York, were also on hand dishing out their kid and family friendly goods.
All in all, it was a hoot! We loved seeing the kids dive into art and hang out with new friends, all while we stayed true to our mission of supporting small businesses and building community.
The festival is will be back next year, and it will definitely be worth the wait! In the meantime, stay tuned because we will be launching our kids dance parties with the same vibe later this year!
We were so excited to be back at Studio 512 to promote our upcoming Honeychild kids festival!
We'll be hosting a floral crown tutorial at the event, so we decided to show the host, Amanda Tatom, how it's done.
- flowers and greenery (real or faux)
- floral wire
- floral tape
- floral wire cutters
- Cut a piece of twine in length that matches the circumference of your head.
- Tie ribbon on both ends, so that you can tie it all together when done.
- Gather leaves with a flower, and with the small pieces of floral wire, wrap the wire around each group of flowers/leaves and the twine.
- Wrap the wire with floral tape.
- Continue this process throughout the twine until you reach the end.
There is no wrong way to design the piece, so have fun and fill in as much as you want.
Here's the finished product! We love how it turned out. To catch the segment, you can head here!
We can't wait to see you all at Honeychild, so that you can make your own! Click below for more scoop!

We had a blast with you all, and can't wait to do it again this fall!
We were lucky enough to have DJ Cass&Ra back to keep the brunch crowd bumpin' both days.
Many thanks to Archer Hotel for going above and beyond and serving up the best bubbly, bites and desserts from Second Bar + Kitchen.
The hospitality is top notch. I highly recommend the whole team for your intimate and creative event needs!
Lovefest is an annual event, so if you missed out, you can visit us next year!
We had a blast at the studio celebrating the upcoming holiday season! We sipped and dived deeper into the yummy and artisanal world of craft coffee courtesy of our neighbor Cuvée Coffee Bar.
For this two hour workshop, we sampled four types ranging from fruit to chocolate flavors and paired them each with gourmet pastries from our other favorite neighbor, Chicon. Bourbon chocolate chip cookies anyone?
While we sipped, we gave ourselves an A+ for effort as we decked out our ornaments in an array of acrylic paints and gold-leaf and DIY'd our very own handpainted gift wrap.
The holidays brings out the creativity in everyone, and it was a blast to see what the girls dreamed up! We're already brainstorming next year's holiday workshop!
We had the pleasure of welcoming some very talented artists into our the studio for Big Medium's EAST, a two-weekend tour of studios throughout East Austin.
For the last day of the tour, we ran out of time, but managed to venture over to check out a couple of other stops.
November is the Rising Tide Society's Philanthropy Month! We were happy to host the Austin Chapter at the studio.
With donations from the members, we worked with neighbor Mitscoots to provide 100 Care Canisters filled with snacks, toiletries and other necessities for the homeless community.
It always warms the heart to give back during the holiday season. I hope that we do more of this in the new year! Happy holidays everyone!
How beautiful is this? We're so in love that we are providing complimentary hard copies to all of our amazing studio rental clients.
The master plan is to take you guys on an Eastside tour while I cruise the streets on Black Beauty (my fixie). Stay tuned, my friends because we're headed for a yummy ride!
We were thrilled to host a Mavenly + Co. Masterclass, a two-day career workshop for creative women entrepreneurs.
The traveling workshop is led by two girl bosses from ATX and focuses on setting women up for success as they are either transition or navigate through different stages of their lives and/or careers.
Mavenly + Co developed a curriculum in collaboration with a team of higher education and positive psychology professionals to help us ladies thrive professional environments.
It all went down August 27-28 with a happy hour the night before at Eastside neighbor, Kitty Cohen's.
On the second day, we were lucky enough to enjoy a Q&A panel with some of Austin's most impressive women entrepreneurs, including Jane Ko (A Taste of Koko), Mica May (May Designs), Natalie Davis (Canoe) and Danielle Sobel (Juice Society). They dished on their backgrounds and how they created lives and careers with purpose.
I highly recommend digging deeper into the Mavenly and Co. platform. It offers resources and a community long after the workshop is over. We are always on the go, so it necessary and therapeutic to check in with your peers to not only seek advice, but to celebrate each other.
On August 20-21, we hosted Anastasia Casey and The Identité Collective, a branding boot camp for creatives. This two-day workshop comes with the sole purpose of designing and building small, creative brands.
On Day 1, we arrived and were immediately greeted with colorful florals (courtesy or Anastasia herself), fresh-baked pastries and sweet, sweet mimosas!
...and then we got down to business. Pulling from her many years of experience repping top brands, Anastasia gave us the lowdown on all things social media, how to create a brand identity, business management hacks and how to craft solid mood boards.
Decked out in only the best from 10th Collection, we took a mid-day break and dug right into a well-prepared and pretty damn delicious home-cooked lunch.
We thought nothing could top Day 1, but the surprises kept coming on our second day. We were instantly welcomed with cheery and bright Margot Blair Minis to take home! we repurpose all of her mini vases around the house, so this was truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Next up, was one of our highlights for the weekend - headshots courtesy of our bubbly, new friend Kelsey Butler Photography.
We had an absolute blast cheesing it up with our fellow creatives and entrepreneurs! We are all so busy that it was quite the treat and incredibly convenient to be able to combine long overdue headshot sessions and business education into one.
After talking shop, we took a break and enjoyed yet another lovely spread. I mean... this girl seriously has us questioning our hostess skills.
After sippin' on Mighty Swell and noshing, it was right back to the hustle. We got in-depth advice and expert tips on how to up our flat lay game for those stellar Instagram and blog posts.
Anastasia is our girl, but we always keep it 100. She is by far one of the best instructors we have come across in a very long time. She truly wants to make sure that everyone she encounters succeeds. She takes her time to not only makes sure that each attendee understands the curriculum, but she will also do the work to make sure you are served long after the workshop is over.
She puts in so much time and effort to make sure that no detail is overlooked. From the printables to the new community that was created, it was all done with thoughtful and knowledgeable execution.
I'm sure you all have serious FOMO right about now, but you're in luck! She's headed back to our studio October 22-23, so we highly encourage you to jump on it! You can get more details and register here. Until next time, my friends!
Earlier this month, Revelry had the privilege of co-hosting a group of creative, lovely ladies at the studio for an ol' fashioned potluck with the talented Amanda of Butterfield Events.
This beverage did not disappoint. It was cool, sweet, refreshing, zesty and interestingly enough, the honey was the just enough to soothe. In case the endless list of adjectives didn't give it away, we are most definitely fans. Can't wait to test out more recipes!
Let's just say my hostess game was instantly elevated with these pretty little things adorning the table.
The evening continued and the drinks kept flowing. Over old school funk and soul, we chatted about the stories behind our dishes, from favorite family recipes to thoughtfully store-bought finds ;)
Needless to say, these ladies did not disappoint. From Watermelon & Mango Salad to a fresh Strawberry Tart, we happily indulged.
Many thanks to Molli of 10th Collection, who joined us and stepped up our potluck game with beautiful dishes and table accessories.
Each dish was not only darn delicious, but surprisingly enough, served as a catalyst for us to get to know each other a little better.
We gleefully ended our night by losing ourselves in this masterpiece known as cake, baked fresh by Gal Friday.
Shout out to all of the wonderful people we broke bread with, including Bianca (Anthemum), Mayra (The Photo Bus), Abigail (Carefully Crafted), Anastasia (The Identité Collective) and Stephanie (Bloom Creamery). It was truly a pleasure.
We would love to make A Kindred Table a staple in the Austin creative community. We enjoy pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones and meeting new folks. If you're interested in being a part of the next one, then sign up for our newsletter here and follow #akindredtable to stay in the loop!
Well, well, well. Who knew whiskey (whisky, whiskeys, whiskies) could be so much fun? We always have a blast organizing cocktail workshops, but it was real treat participating as a newbie.
On July 30, She + Him Bartending showed up and showed out for our first workshop at the studio. The dynamic duo walked the whiskey curious through a history lesson on bourbon, scotch and rye, followed by a tasting of each.
Afterwards, we did our best bartender impressions and made a cocktail with each whiskey type using professional bar tools.
Let's just say the weekend was a success. We had a great time meeting new people, and can't wait to do it all over again. Stay tuned and thirsty, my friends!
In June, we hosted our first round of Sip + Brunch at Weather Up in East Austin. It was a hot one, but the drinks most definitely kept us cool on the spacious patio.
The kind bartender and our host, Fidel, was not only talented but incredibly knowledgable. He walked us through three cocktail recipes - the daiquiri, the Manhattan and the margarita.
We all practiced our skills with professional and stylish bar tools. Fidel covered the proper way to shake, stir and pour and everything in between.
Chef Kristine Kittrell completed the afternoon with her culinary magic. Bacon bites, cheese plates, chicken and waffles... you name it. It was quite the treat getting to sample their delectable brunch menu.
As an added bonus, we provided each guest with a swag bag chockfull of local and creative goodies, like custom cocktail recipe cards from Emma Gundlach, Austin Beerworks Pearl Snap, gold paper straws and metal drink stirrers!
We are beyond excited to have Anastasia Casey in our studio on the first stop of her The Identité Collective workshop series on August 20-21. As a professional graphic designer, she provides top notch branding services for small businesses with a conservative budget.
Not only is she bringing those skills to this branding boot camp, she's taking it even further by providing step-by-step instructions on how to effectively use your new brand design across your website and social media platforms.
After just two days, you will leave with a new logo, a perfectly curated mood board to carry out your new look across platforms, photography + editing skills, and social media tips to grow your following. How incredible is that?

We're so excited to be teaming up with Mavenly + Co to bring the Maven Masterclass to Austin! The two-day workshop will be August 27 & 28 at our Revelry studio, with an optional happy hour gathering on August 26 at Weather Up.
The small group gathering (just 30 spots, y'all!) will focus on building the attendees' skills to:
- Determine their strengths and values and how they relate to larger career and life decisions
- Make well-informed decisions rooted in their values, strengths, and priorities
- Create intentional habits that harness their strengths and values to lead them to their goals
- Distinguish themselves in any setting optimizing negotiating skills and aligning their career with their personal goals
There's a little bright, white studio on the east side that we call home, and it is the perfect little spot for intimate workshops and gatherings.
The studio is the perfect size for groups of 6-16. The space is open and light-filled and able to host creative workshops from calligraphy to cocktail classes to bookclubs.
It's official. Summer has started. We are six days into June and so far I'm pretty excited about the sun that's peeking out today. It took some time to create this playlist - but alas, it exemplifies everything June is. Grab your hat and sunscreen because you're going to want to be at the pool or on a great adventure when you jam out to this playlist! Warning: you might experience excitement, joy, and occasional dance breaks. Enjoy!
